Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, I am sure my irritation has been raised prior to now about how, as a writer, all I am posting is henna art. As of today- well, actually it was more like as of June- I have rectified this somewhat. I actually posted a story, one that I like nonetheless. For an assignment in my English class I had to write a story in an hour as practice for my diploma. We got a poem, a story excerpt and a photograph as prompts as well as a topic upon which to write, and we could write either a personal response, an analytical response or a creative response. Hello! So, I spent the last two weeks in Europe with the languages programme from my school. We spent time in Paris, Toulouse, Barcelona and Madrid as well as in some of the surrounding areas. It was one of the most awesome times of my life. I was so inspired while I was there! I saw lots of amazing things including, but not limited to: the Chateau Chenanceau in the Loire Valley, the Palace of Versailles, the Museau Picasso and Toledo. I met some wonderful people from my school as well as our tour director, Guillaume, a Parisian man with a quirky sense of humor. So, I was looking into my backlog of deviations and I came accross some character interviews that I did almost exactly a year ago. I didn't actually notice until I read them over how much my writing has developed and improved. I went on to look at some stories I wrote two years ago and I was blown away by the difference. I'm reluctant to use the term "New Years Resolution", so instead I'll say: my goal for 2011 is to improve my writing even further. I want to be impressed next January again :) I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years and I hope everyone has a great 2011! (P.S. I got a set of Easton ACG arrows for Christmas!! I g
